Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect only what the App needs to work:

• Guest profile. On first launch the App creates a private guest profile. A random access key is stored in your iCloud Keychain (so it follows you across your own devices) and a protected copy is stored on our servers. It is not linked to your name.
• Account (optional). If you create an account we collect your email address and a password (stored only as a salted hash). You can use the App without an account.
• Watchlists and settings. The pairs you follow and your list settings are stored on our servers so they sync across your devices.
• Price alerts. Each alert you create (coin or exchange pair, target price, label, one-time or repeating setting, on/off state) and the history of times the price crossed it are stored on our servers and linked to your profile.
• Push notification token. If you allow notifications, Apple gives the App a device token. We store it with your profile and use it only to deliver your price alerts through the Apple Push Notification service. You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings at any time.
• Technical data. Our servers record the IP address and time of requests for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs and do not track you across other apps or websites.
• Support. If you contact us we collect your email address and the content of your message.

TradeCharts does not ask for your name, address or financial information. We do not collect brokerage credentials, exchange account keys, wallet private keys or seed phrases, and the App cannot trade or move funds.

How we use information

• To provide the App: sync your watchlists, evaluate your price alerts and send alert notifications;
• To let you sign in, reset your password and delete your account;
• To respond to support requests;
• To keep the Services secure and stable.

Market data and AI summaries

The App displays market data (such as prices and charts) sourced from public APIs of cryptocurrency exchanges and data providers, and charts provided by TradingView. This data is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice.

The App also shows short AI-written summaries of market conditions for each coin. They are produced on our server from public market data only (prices, price changes, volume and exchange quotes) using the OpenAI API. No personal information, email address, profile or alert data is sent to OpenAI. The summaries can contain mistakes and are not investment advice.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for advertising. We use these service providers to run the Services: our hosting provider (servers and email delivery for password resets), Apple (Push Notification service and iCloud Keychain) and, for AI summaries, OpenAI, which receives public market data only. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your profile, watchlists and alerts while your profile exists. You can delete your account and all data linked to it at any time in the App (Profile > Delete account), which removes your account, watchlists, alerts, alert history and notification tokens from our servers. Alerts you delete are removed immediately. You may also contact us to request deletion of any information we hold about you.

Your choices

You can create or delete alerts, switch each alert on or off, turn push notifications off in iOS Settings, sign out, or delete your account at any time.

Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
